HDFC, Tomorrow Capital makes strategic investment in Bonito Designs

HDFC (Housing Development Finance Corporation) is considered to be the largest mortgage lender, Tomorrow Capital, and  HNIs (High Networth Individuals in India. All of these have invested almost 40 crores in the interior design firm Bonito, which has a huge marketing value.

HDFC (Housing Development Finance Corporation) stated “Executed definitive agreements for subscription of 6,068 equity shares of Bonito”. Therefore, this granted the company a good percentage of shareholding and voting rights as well. 

HDFC lent a mortgage of Rs 250 crore to Neptune Ventures and Development. They took it as a loan for their project named “Flying Kite and Eleve”. It was kept as a mortgage under an agreement with some rules and regulations mentioned in it.

Demand notices are sent by the mortgage lender to the real estate developer. This is done in 2021 for clearing the due loan payment, but the developer couldn’t arrange it on time.

After that, a newspaper advertisement for selling a property cleared the remaining dues of Rs 303 crore to the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC).
